That's an old one. But I wouldn't use him !
No banner ads : they have an invisible frame on every page (last time I worked with them). Don't ask me why
FTP ACCESS : When the server is in a vey good mood ! (last time, it t(ook me 3 new account before the ftp acces of the last account worked)
Super Fast hosting: certainly NOT!
Cgi-Bin Installed on Request!(OPTION WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON) : They have a strange definition of soon ! That sentence is there already for more than a year :(
http://elitecities.com/you (shortest url you can get on the net for free) : that's a lie
Reliability: error reading that word ...
I've tried them, and I can say only one thing: THEY SUCK

I agree with Redhat.... I had an account there and was never able to ftp my site all onto their server since their ftp was damn slow or down

I heard they had turned into an adult FWP, but I've never gone there to see for sure.

I checked and it looks like they will still host all types of sites. They have some G-rated adult advertisements on their site though so they are involved in the porn industry.

The last time I tried using them, your site wouldn't work because they, for some reason, try to access your site at elitecities.com/_/yourname. Why they stuck the /_/ in there, i have no idea, but it makes your site inaccessable.

It has something to with the invisible frame that they ad on every page. It contains an adframe(invisible) and your page (with the /_/ in the URL). First off all, they add on every pag a script (javascript), that checks that the page is loaded in the frameset ... If you're trying to open the /_/ file (without frameset), it would redirect your page the the framed one, But sometimes, when you have a lot of Jscript on youre page, it gives an error :(
