Only way I can understand this, that there are real audio files allowed - do you have file type/size limitations?

I believe the file size limitation is the size of your space :|

freqnc, there are a few good reasons to get a domain name separately from a host. www.godaddy.com have some great prices happening at the moment, and they guarantee you will never pay more for your domain then you originally paid. Ex: if you get a .com for $7.95/yr then it will always cost you no more than $7.95/yr.

I would say going with godaddy.com or cheap-domainregistration.com would be a wise choice for domain registration.

As far as sub domains go, almost all hosts will allow you to set up and manage your subdomains. This is very easy to do with cPanel that comes with our accounts.

Streaming media is not a problem.

But I think there is, most hosting providers im my country donīt have brandwidth metered, and they are the big ISP-s but they donīt go with credit cards and Iīd have to go down to their offices sign contracts etc. Not very time-saving and comfortabe.

lol, the stupidity of people, Unlimited doesnt mean unlimited, it means no quota or we dont watch your bandwidth, On our unlimited plans we just decided if they are going to pay that much, why not give them what they need. We have alot of bandwidth OC-192.... we can handle it, this isnt a freehost we get money, we get funding we can afford as much as we need why criticize what you do not understand.

so your saying that if I had a transfer going at all times, using your site as a backup, you would have no problems with this?

If I had a few servers doing hourly backups, and restores, or was using the site as a file mirror for download.com, which got a ton of hits... i would not get my account shut off?

If that is true I have a few customers for you as I think "unlimited" should mean that there is no limit, and I do not think the other customers on the same box would like you or me if I did have such transferes going.

Oh, and what kind of nic cards do you have on that box? if you have just one 100Mbps i can max that puppy our fairly quickly using it to serve files on download.com or else where, again making all of your other customers slow down to a crawling 2 or 3 kbps, and they too are supposed to have unlimited bandwidth.

So do you still have truly unlimited bandwidth? I will send you a few customers and see if you still offer it.

Bryan

PS. It is not nice to call anyone stupid, regardless of what you offer or what you are defending on your site. You should either teach them so they have the same understanding that you do or ignore them.

Have you ever studied closely their TOS? You will find limits to their unlimited ;)

Actually it is very common to have unmetered connections in Asia.

Just remember that 1mbps unmetered is ~320 GB if maxed our over the course of a month. :-)

MadCow: Yes I could probably handle that, heh and as a new host I wouldn't mind a few customers....
