WhereToLook

Just a little bit of venting mixed in with opinion and conjecture.
I read through a lot of posts and I wonder about the Hosts that can't seem to speel... (yes, that is a deliberate mis-spelling of the word "spell")
Now, I KNOW we are in the age of abreviating our words ("you are" is abbreciated to "UR", "before" is abbreviated to "b4","you" is shortened to "U", etc) since there waes a time when TIME onlinme cost extra money but has now become a part of our "geek speak" language. Nothing wrong with that when we are talking, having a conversation, or just making a statement.
But someone who is in "business" should learn to write and spell correctly, shouldn't they?
I mean, if I see an ad for hosting that says "Get UR free account here! U wont regret it!" I will IGNORE because I KNOW it is some young person who probably will be around for less than six months, OR they are someone who has no business saavy (ie, they should KNOW it is unprofessional to use anything other than proper spelling/grammar when extolling a service or product).
I mean I read a post where a person is saying they are having issues with thier current host and the host responds:
"I tri3d to Im U, but U never answer PM's or emal, so I cancell'd UR account"
Uhhhh... can you say 5th grade?
I just think we should be more professional with the way we present our profession.
Use complete words. Try to use proper grammar.
B4 U bl4st my post, r34d it 2 x's, k?
