Buy nice house, around $400,000. Then buy an Aston Martin DB7 GT, and a Maybach 62. Then I would send the rest to a Leichenstein bank account so they can't take it back at the end of the day.

Give five million to my mom.
One million to brothers and sisters and other noteworthy family members.
Buy 10 million dollars worth of properties (for future financial security).
Open up my own restaurant (0.5 million, + $2.5mil for a modest advertising campaign).
5 million to publish and market my own book.
5 million to develop and publish my own computer adventure game.

Leaving a little bit under $970 million to found my own charity or give to already established charities/worthy causes.

I would have all the Yuppy (young urban professionals) parents in North America shipped off to a remote island used by the US government as a nuclear testing range.

Hmmm, to my list i would also add a datacentre, a new house, a few cars, and my own privet OC-192. (Two of em, we dont want another burst, i want to be able to surf EVEN if one fiber is broke :P).

And then my DC will be multihomed, and have the biggest and phatest pipes, and id give the local school new computers, and have its network built from the ground up, and make it super special, and give all the kids a Laptop.

Then hire some people to take care of some people i do not like. Send about half of it to Switzerland, then take whatever is left, and put it into IBM's stock :P

Put it all in multiple banks.

Live off the interest I'd recieve every year.

For myself and family, huge house, bigger garage, cars for every day of the month, I'd pay for my own college, set my parents up for life, buy my Dad the big boat he always wanted, I'd help my Mom out with her new business, I'd buy houses all over the world in exotic places and throw big parties.

For others, I'd fund computer learning programs in schools in rural areas, I'd tip 100% at restaraunts, work in conjunction with schools to reward students in writing skills contests, and I'd create other ways to work with schools with things that I was interested in as a kid but didn't have a lot of exposure to.

If you went to a high school as ----ty as mine, you would want to do the same.

Besides, I'd still waste a lot of cash on extravagant stuff that is utterly pointless, but fun none the less :D.

buy out countries, governers, US states and sections of the US militaries, and start my own country, a utopia (of doom). for fun, a recurring theme of nazism and hitler here and there.. but slavery would be a must. personal servants and harems of women to massage my feet, fill my lemonade cup, and help me pee into a bucket, and transfer that to a toilet, conviniently placed in 5 stories above, accessable via ladder. a very steep ladder.

One billion dollars is not a whole lot if you want to start your own country.

I just thought about it again and thought I would just relax and never have to worry about anything. Always nice to think about during a stressful week.
