so far so good, more interested in the unitedhosting offer

about the load on the mysql

the webpage is providing divx/xvid subtitles for the portuguese/brasilian comunity, usualy it has a bit more than 100 people online at the same moment (almost all day long)

the database is now more than 50 mb

i believe that the amount of searches in the database is the responsible for the somewhat heavy load on the processor, causing mysqld processes use some processing capability

i strongly believe that a good shared account is capable of handling the webpage, or else i would go for dedicated hosting.

i just want to make the point that, an overloaded server is no good, it wold not fit my needs and it would become the service to others in the same server even worst.

the httpd processes are not heavy on the server

and also important:

i do not respond to private messages, when a host PMs me i sort of loose trust in it, it seems to me that they are tying to do things hiding from the moderators

at least that's my way of seeing things
