Anyone know where I can get cheap .CA domains?
Anything less than $25US/year I would consider cheap...

Would you consider $24.99 as cheap?

Go to http://www.istop.com
This place is the cheapest in the country. Trust me.
Remember, GST is 7% on top of that. The price is in Canadian Dollars.
Features? Free domain parking. They will do everything for you, sinc everything is still manual there. Soon they will automate their systems though.
You can go to other registrars to compare the prices. All of them will charge at least $29.95 CAD + GST
Go to http://www.cira.ca
You will find the Canadian registrars there for .CA
Hope this help
Cheers

Forgive me if I am wrong, But do you not have to be a registered Canadian Business in order to register a .ca name? I remember trying to sign up way back and they required so. Have things changed?

You need to be either a registered Canadian Business or a Canadian citizen... so it's not only limited to businesses....

An interesting thing is that if you register .ca domain name from any registrar not based in canada, you don't need to pay 7% tax !
Unregistered
