View Full Version : Dedicated Server Required ...Suggestions?

Hi I have decided to go down the route of my own server primarily for emailing means, I've had enough of overpriced restrictive autoresponder companies, that fall over quicker than you can say "crash".

I have several large lists of people I send my regular newsletters too.

The server I require needs to be able to handle emailing at least 200,000 emails a week. (This may rise in the medium term to 500,000)

With this sort of server load what options and pricing should i be looking at and does anybody have any suggestions for a quality and affordable service.

Also I have 15 websites..is it an option to host these on the same server doing the emailing or is that asking too much.

I might know a bit about making money on the internet, yet when it comes to this tech stuff I'm a little green :)

Any help is very appreciated!

your host may or may not let you send out 200k emails per week. Many hosts wont, so you may be better off with a ded box. Also, watch who your getting your ded box from, some have a strict anti-spam policy which could leave your server unplugged even though you have clean lists. I've heard of ded hosting co's pulling out the network cables of suspected spammers.

Most servers are capible of sending out 2,000-3,000 emails per second.
But like digitaloutrage said above, look at their policys.

Wow, 2,000 - 3,000 per second sounds like too much!. I didn't know that :)

You're new to the forums, so don't spam your services (this is the second time). Plus this thread is almost a month old- if dkaiark hasn't found a server yet he would have said something.
