The Cost of Regular Gasoline, Octane 87, in Argentina is $4.00/Gallon. (1 Peso to 1 Dollar) The Extra 89 is about $4.50, and the Super 93 is nearly $5.00/Gallon. I would like complaining about high gas prices in the US to end, and to end now. Because $2.00/Gallon is nothing.

I live in Alberta, Canada's oil province, and the prices here are soaring! They are a bit lower than some other provinces though, but I believe that we should have it even lower since this gas is being pumped right next door!
75.5 cents/litre.

Also in Alberta, and fuel prices are at 73.9 I think. But good news for Alberta, with Bush's new energy plan, Alberta will produce most of the oil to fuel the continent, making us rich Albertan's billions of dollars richer. But why is our gas still so expensive? Oh well, it's still a lot cheaper than most other places.

Then our friend Jean Cretien (I lived in Canada for over 13 years and I still can't spell his stupid name) will take it all away from us. Oh wow!

BTW, why does every Canadian on these boards live in Alberta?

I pay about $2.10 in Southern California (I paid a bit more in Northern California when I lived there). That's pretty much as high as it gets in the states but that's actually very high considering that our government subsides gas prices. o all of you living in other countries and paying $4-6 a gallon who think us Americans whine need to remember that out government more than makes up the difference. Additionally, we don’t have the transit system fof most European and south American countries so in the end, paying $2.10 a gallon is quite a lot when it's the only real way to get where you need to go.
(Note: all those stupid soccer moms who drive their SUV's to the store across the street have no excuse, they should be paying a hundred dollars a gallon)
Gas here in texas is actually getting pretty dang close to the national average now at about $1.60 gallon. I think they should raise prices maybe put a higher tax on gas so people conserve more and use the public transportation if its available. In areas where public transportation is not available, don't tax it. Also, people that provide mass transport could get a permit to buy untaxed fuel...its really sad how dependent we are on gas prices...it shouldn't be that way.

It is because north americans are so dependant on automobiles. notice how much is spent on roads and highways, and complicated interchanges, and new concept cars that are not very efficient.

$1.51 here in oregon
$1.97 in LA
why do they need cars in LA? You could ride your bike.. the city goes on until the ocean for crying out loud!
I ain't got a car, too poor... I walk, take the bus, and subway, mainly because I live downtown in my city.
here, it's about 78 cents per litre (canadian) for gas...

Well if you look around, there are just as many cars on the road now (if not more) than there was before prices rocketed. The good economy makes up for this kind of damage. I drive a gas guzzler, and it hasnt slowed me down.
Another idea for you all who live close to a wal-mart that sells gas...and they dont say this in their commercials...next time you need gas, buy a walmart gift card first, and buy gas with it. Around here, walmart is the cheapest at $1.55 per gallon. When I pay with a gift card, that drops to $1.52 per gallon. They knock of $.03/gallon at the pump for gift cards. Do the math and it adds up after a few fillups.
I have a card with black marker letters on it saying GAS CARD and throw the leftover change (usually $5-$10 out of $20) onto it at the register anytime I go shopping. By the time I need a fillup, theres enough on the card to do that.
