maybe you should read the rules? ;-))

Unmetered / unlimited offers are not allowed

And if you feel rule 2 has been broken please click the link to report it to a moderator.

canadianfigor tell me more. What site are you actually trying to get hosted. I don't understand the purpose of that imageshack.us.....

Decker, in a way i don't understand why unmetred bandwidth is not allowed. Maybe in the US there is no such thing, but in my country when you collocate your server you get un-metred bandwidth. My friends are running a big download site and i think they use more than 1000 GB transfer, and there have been no problems.

Don't make the rules just follow them :-)

bogdana.org
April 7th, 2004, 08:09
I know, i just consider them a bit too harsh :)

Decker

Some would abuse it though if they weren't there :bandit2:

i am trying to get 2 sites hosted. 1 for a gaming clan and 1 for a community non profit group thing. Our servers went down and i need to be hosted. I can't get u a preview because of that, maybe a screenshot.

i was just saying that www.imageshack.us hosts pictures for screenshots and such.

The Geocities limit on transfer finally lifted so I could see the screenshot. pm or e-mail me. You have to have a domain name registered that's the only catch, we don't host for subs, put a button on the site would be great :), but we'll settle for a text link.

I suppose someone from Irvine, used to live southside (battlefield) now in Edinburgh should give a bit of support to the lads :-)

It still doesn't work for me ....

canadianfigor send me a PM with a more detailed explanation about those two sites and i'll see what i can work out with my magic wand :). Tell me for example how many users your community had and stuff like that.

well Peo is an idiot i hope he reads this to.

Un-metered and Unlimited are not the same thing,
most(if not ALL) of the worlds leading Data providers offer Un-metered data
on fixed connection speeds.

he oviously has no idea about data services.

and decker i did not see this because it was not in the rules*
thanks for the heads up.!

Decker

No probs on the heads up - better warned than slapped :classic2:

Suppose the rule should be speed of network port/s, contention/concurrency (well, in with backbone and stuff so gets messy), and an explanation of what it means for users not knowledgable in those matters. Some might think unlimited fast traffic.
