Well, here's what i need,

Around 50+mb of space
1GB or more Bandwidth
Cgi,Perl
NOT a Unix server
allows use of uni.cc (http://www.uni.cc/site/home.php)
no ads
FTP Upload

You didn't list ASP among your requirements which you probably should from what I'm reading as I am guessing your forum application is ASP based?

Linux / Unix servers are far more reliable and perform much faster than any MS Windows based servers. In almost every case, you would do much better to find a host on a Linux platform. As a side note, Linux servers are also the vast majority in the hosting world. MS Windows is only a very small minority.

However, there is one legitimate reason to use a MS Windows server and that is if you are going to be using ASP applications ... particularily those coded for ASP.NET or for use of a MS Access database. In that case, a Windows server would be preferred and needed ...

Other than that, there is no real reason for requesting a Windows server specifically.
