Well i know a few people who can afford vB but not hosting. You can try www.dudehost.net and www.netandroids.com

You can spend your whole budget on vBulletin, have none for hosting...

Your on to nothing - you say you paid for VB, but can't pay for hosting. Sounds like you missed the most basic bits - like make sure you can do stuff when you've got stuff. Why buy and then not be able to pay for hosting it - you twit.
I'll quite happily give you hosting to report the hacked VB install, or you can use the aledged amount to just buy hosting with one of the free boards.

Let's say someone gave you USD160 for your birthday, you decide to spend it on vB. Now, you dont have enough for hosting. This can happen.

Possible but, not very likely.

It is possible, but only 1 thing doesnt make sense that shows it isnt legit..
vB when its bought requires a domain to be entered, but he says any sort of URL will be fine (ie, host.com/~him etc..)
so you busted yourself bad ;)

Yes, this can happen... but why would you spend $160 on the vB when you could spend a fraction of that on quality hosting and use one of the 'free' solutions available and have money to spare? The answer is poor planning, and expecting a free handout from a webhost. You really should have thought ahead and secured some hosting first, if your vB is indeed licensed.
On a side note, there is no such thing as 'Unlimited Bandwidth'... and I couldn't imagine you using all that terribly much bandwidth with only 5-10 MB disk space.
And it must allow all kinda contentWhat sort of content might you be hosting, besides your illegal vB, that you would make this stipulation?
Anyway, good luck with your search, and plan ahead next time.

That's actually a true story. Oh well.

why doesn't someone check out the license then.. Fredd, give somebody your license key and they'll check it and say everythings legit. Afraid someone will steal it - give it to me because i already have vB so i don't need it. If not, remove your original thread, leave these forums, delete your (nullified) copy of vB, don't think about doing it again, go find a forum host and use phpBB or IPB, forget everything about vB, if you do, find the tallest building and jump off it.
Have a great day :D

I will settle this once and for all.
Fredd, send me a screen shot of your license details from the vB member's section. (These details cannot be used to steal your vB license.)
I will email Jelsoft and confirm the license.
If you do not allow me to confirm the license, I will have to assume you have a pirated copy of vB and will have to advise every host reading this thread not to host you because of that.

Nothing is impossible :), improbable maybe ;) .... Anyway if i'd get 160 $ for my b-day i'll surely not spend it on a vB licence :P ... i got 400$ last b-day and i spend them on clothes and going out in night clubs ...
Fredd if you can prove the licence is legit and you actually own it maybe you'll get an offer for hosting.
