I did this in 5 seconds flat.
Hmm.... this is weird. My left brain's trying to say the color, and my right brain's insisting on reading the word...

I could see it at the first URL now. He - pretty funny. Hard the first time but then it was easier. :)
Gayowulf
May 28th, 2001, 13:29
Funny... I had not trouble with it. ignore the word and look at the colour.
meow
May 28th, 2001, 13:49
That probably means that one of your brain halves is clearly dominant.
Epgs
May 28th, 2001, 17:47
the first url is back up

I have a dominant left brain... By far...
kojiro
May 29th, 2001, 04:31
:)
I think it's ok now.
Epgs
May 29th, 2001, 17:51

May 29th, 2001, 22:49
It gets easier and easier as you go on... You just sorta ignore the word... Let your eyes get fuzzy... Better yet, if you have glasses, take them off ;)
Must be extremely easy for people who can't read English.

hahaha, I had to start over like 6 times :(
Try looking only at the letters and ignore what the letters put together means... maybe that'll make things easier.

I'am the best!!
Both sides of my brain are strong
I read the whole thing correctly.:D
meow
May 30th, 2001, 03:26
Ahem...I don't really think that is what it implies...

May 30th, 2001, 05:29
Then what do you think it means?
AFAIK if brain hemisphere coordination is strong you are more intelligent :)
Don't think I'am being arrogant.
meow
May 30th, 2001, 15:37
I think it means that one side is more dominant. That's why the sides don't fight over how to interpret this.
lucifer
May 30th, 2001, 15:44
if you red (sorry) it without any mistake it proberbly means you only have half a brain -!!!
meow
May 30th, 2001, 15:52
On the other hand the geniuses are very "half brained", so lastactionhero can still be a smartass. :D

ture true. and it actually depends on if your left handed or right handed too.
Coolin
May 31st, 2001, 01:03
I was born left handed... So doesn't that mean my right brain should be stronger? However, I grew up to be right handed... So that sorta compensates for that.
Now both of my hands suck :(
Not brain though ;)

I think being a cow means I don't have much of a right brain... or was it left? ;)

How do you type, Coolin?! ;)
Left brain: Right hand, type 'r'.
Right brain: No, left hand type 'r'!
Left brain: No way, the right hand gets to type it!
Right brain: Oh yeah?!
Left brain: Yeah.
Both brains fight and the result is... both brains lose.

I think, rather soon peoples will able to communicate each other with electric impulses from a brain to a brain. A brain - a computer as well.
The professor Donchin of Illinois University has gotten reading a text taking the impulses from a brain (very slowly though).
It is very easily already now to determine what a person feels - more exactly - how much s/he feels at the moment.

Actually, my left hand types "r"
And how do I type? Good. ;)

See if your brain is developed enought to handle this.
Take 1000 and add 40 to it.
Now add another 1000.
Now add 30.
Another 1000. Now add 20.
Now add another 1000. Now add 10.
What is the total?
Do it in your head, not on a piece of paper or with a calculator.
That's easy as hell. 40+30+20+10=100
The answer's 4100.

June 6th, 2001, 01:16
I did this before reading LeX's post. I did it the normal way without all that cool shortening... And got 4100.

hah! Math my favorite subject!
I hate math... Tough thinking required. P.E.'s my favorite subject because you get to fool around and still get A's. :D

For me it is always interesting when from a theory you can get a practical result. As from nothing to do something real.
I am proud to say the next ;) There is the result for webmasters from the theme. If images and words are taken differently then they should be placed on a screen accordingly. At least it is an ideal for a mixed content.

Math... I don't know if it's my favorite subject... But it's definately my best subject by far :)
Bruce
June 14th, 2001, 17:22
math sure ain't my best subject. trigonometry really sucks.
Epgs
June 14th, 2001, 17:54
i love math, and i don't like trigonometry or geometry either. i like algebra and those types of maths.
Gayowulf
June 14th, 2001, 19:57
for me it is the opposite. trigonometry, geometry, and stuff like that is much easier. Not that im a math whz or anything
Epgs
June 14th, 2001, 20:04
i just like having one answer rather than ambiguity like in trig having 2 possible angles for the same triangle (in the law of sines)

June 15th, 2001, 06:48
oh yeah? evaluate this coolin:
let A = theta (that greek symbol)
sin^2 16A + cos^2 16A
if you don't get this within 5 seconds, you're a dimwit :D
LeX
June 15th, 2001, 09:23
Same here as Gayowulf. It's easier to find angles than to find out what 99 to the 99th power is.

No kidding? Know what? Just a theory.... but if someone was bored enough to find out who the top five winners of the "Canadian National Mathematics League Math Contest" are, then that person would know who you are! Like it matters, yeah... but it's just a thought.
Oh, wait, you didn't say which year's.
