Sometimes, when my computer "locks up", in the taxbar to the lower right of the screen, appears an icon for...analogXproxy. I tried removing it by going to add/remove programs but, that doesn't work. Everything I've tried says that analogXproxy isn't even on my computer and yet, when it's about to lock up on me, the red and black analogXproxy icon comes up on the taxbar for programs running in the background. Also, when I click on the icon to see what it's about, it tells me that analogXproxy is active and running. How can something be running on my computer and my computer not know that it's somewhere on the hard drive ? How do I get rid of something that my computer is saying isn't there ?

When this happens, are you able to open and use the task manager? See if analogXproxy is running. Try terminating it.
Has this hard drive been used in other Windows installations? Maybe it's left over. Try and find the program folder, and look for an uninstall file.
