Basically i need a web host that has:
-a lot of space
-no adverts (if there are adverts, should support frame pages)
-fast (this is important as i want my photos to load quickly)
-FTP upload. This is because it is very troublesome to use browser uploads when you have a lot of images

I have been moving around web hosts a lot.

First i started with Spree. In the beginning i didn't have frames so that the bottom and top banners were manageable. They had browser uploads and the file manager was very slow and tedious. You had to sit there and upload files batch by batch. Then they trimmed the web space down from unlimited to less than a 100 mb i think.

Then i moved on to Crosswinds. Not to mention that it was down frequently but they revoked their promise never to force people to use ads. The pop ups got very irritating.

Then i moved on to Freewebsites. Which i consider good because they offer a lot of different advert type including email console. It was pretty fast too relatively. But there is a space contraint and currently the freewebsites server has been down these past few days. Dunno what's happening. And they never answer to your email.

Then i moved on to dk3. DK3 seemed pretty impressive except that it became quite a chore to log on to the ftp durinng some hours. But to my shock the site loaded pages super slow. It's so slow sometimes that you even get an error message.

I am trying Mifix right now. Haven't loaded my page yet. But seen pretty scarey things like the server in the cardboard box. The ftp is quite slow and the links on the main page aren't always working. For instance i couldn't get into the Utilities and Members options today. Also they had an ikonboard installed earlier which loaded quite slowly.

I would be glad if someone could offer me a good alternative for me to host my web site. Thanks in advance.

how mug do you mean by a lot of space? 50 megs? Also, why do you need frames? For navigational purposes? I'd say go with a site that supports SSI, and CGI. The SSI will keep all your pages the same, and you can use CGI to display the pictures without make a html page for each one. PHP would work too.

You could try prohosting (http://free.prohosting.com).

ok Bigperm.
Actually currently i need about 50mb but my web page is always growing. I keep adding on new photo albums.
I am not really familiar with SSI, CGI or PHP. The only thing i've done with the CGI was to install ikonboard.
Do you know of any good places i could learn of such things?
"The SSI will keep all your pages the same, and you can use CGI to display the pictures without make a html page for each one. " Could you show me an example of this? Thanks. btw i tried installing ikonboard on pro hosting before but somehow pro hosting is not really compatible with the ikonboard script. Some board images do not appear.
