Hello, long time no see. Free would be good, but of course I know that for the credit card stuff a charge will have to be incurred. My site will be based in the UK and will serve mostly uk customers although some international customers as well. I would be grateful for suggestions for an online shopping cart that is very customizable and that also has many features, and that can easily link to either paypal/nochex/fastpay payment, or link to a credit card processing site. Also, any suggestions for a cheap preferrably UK based credit card processing site or services. If possible i don't want to pay monthly fees as this will prove costly in the long run, but otherwise a cheap and reliable one that is say, per transaction charging etc.

I would welcome your suggestions, and thank you in advance for your help.

Regards.

Hussein.

If you're doing that; it is HIGHLY suggested that you are a paid goer, if not... then you should seek definate help! You as being hosted on your own server or on a paid host SHOULD make your own codes or get someone to work on one for you... I can't right now b/c I cannot program MySQL or Access Languages, and those you need.

Thanks, I'll take a look at the site. As for languages, I can't do mysql either but am hoping to learn or start learning sometime soon. i'm hosted using a paid for service - well actually one of those professional paid services with the first three years free. i was looking for some software/service so that it would make the job easier, as this is my first e-commerce type enterprise.

Thanks for yoru help, and keep them coming.

Get a paid host - lets face it your looking to sell and if your sites down you can't, at least with a paid host you have reason to expect support.

Hang on, I think you misunderstood, i'm with 1&1 and the site is 'paid' but not paid, basically i took up there offer of 3 years professional hosting, then i start paying with cash, at the moment, i get al the features and tech support so basically you can call it a paid host, they have the payment details and everything but won't take anything for the first three years, so therefore i don't have any worried on the downtime front. I'll take a look at javascriptcart.com thanks.

Thanks for that offer of help. Re: the web hosting, it's free only for the first three years, it's what's called a special offer, you get the first three years free, with full features and support, then you start paying, from my experience so far (6 months) i think i shall be more than happy to keep them. Thanks.
