I recently signed up for a spaceports account, uploaded my site, placed the banner where I wanted it (while following the TOS's guidelines), and while browsing the FAQ, I noticed they have a click through rate. The site says "Banners must have a 0.25% CTR or greater. Your site must average at least one banner click for every 400 banners displayed. What eactly does this mean? Does this mean that for every 400 page hits at least one person must click the banner? Is that a difficult thing to expect? Would they actually delete your account if you don't average 1 banner click per 400 banners displayed?

yep you got it, for every 400 banner shows at least 1 person has to click on it, and if i'm not mistaking they won't delete your site but simply add a nasty popup and i don't think .25% is hard at all, i mean you can click on the banner once yourself can't you? but remember they pay you for the click so the more clicks you get the better for you!!

no no, just a popup that spawns more windows, like about 5 or they might put you site in a frame and have like half the window full of ads

Some users have reported porn ads, but only people from countries other than Canada/USA and when the banner code wasnt displayed. But as long as you have the banner your fine.
I was one of the victims... I saw a porn ad @ spaceports. :(

From what I understand, the ad company SP uses screwed up and put the wrong ads on the wrong accounts. All the porn ad sitings on SP have been text only, no pictures have appeared unless the site spawned its own Windoze.

you guys are talking about Spaceports, and I thought let's take a look... but for some reason, when I click on sign-up, there comes a window with "do you want to download 'freesites' from www.spaceports.com?" Any idea what this means...
'Other services' gives the same download window...
It's the same fact you see as the time that Digitalrice was down, u couldn't see other pages because they came in a download window

Sounds like a problem on your end. Your browser is trying to download it instead of parse it. I had that problem once before. Ask someone around here for help.

its cool last time when they havent put any pop ups and have no news that they put porns.
but now, there were so many bad news about them. pop ups is still ok as long as they have no porn.
the site i am running has about 80% are under 21 yr kids so my site cannot contain any porn!
