OneLitreNet

A mate of mine owns a website and has really good hosting. I've been using the hosting under his domain name ( http://www.exodusfusion.com/onelitrenet ) with the directory (as you can see) /onelitrenet. I've talked to him and I told him that I'm thinking about getting a .com, and he said that if there's a way I can continue using his hosting. I can save a bit of cash by continuing to use his hosting after I purchase the domain from godaddy, but is this actually possible. Is there some way when I sign up at godaddy to set the dns as the directory I have control over (meaning can I set the dns as /onelitrenet for the exodusfusion server.) If there is a way to do this what would it involve. I don't need detailed instructions, just an idea I can work with.
Thanks heaps, I hope you actually understand what I'm saying because I just read over it and it didn't sound too easily followed. If you need me to rephrase anything just ask.
Cheers
