While internet fraud is serious, it is hard to enforce. The last thing we need is the FBI or CIA or some other acronymonious thugs spying on us more than they already are.

I hate to break it to you, but the FBI does International work and has been doing international work for a very long time. There are two FBI Dispatches in Argentina right at this time, helping with the Internet Fraud here.

True, but this is the Federal Beareau of Investigation, not the Food Beareau International. They dont care about starving people.

yes, but you can't blame them. they are paid to be the FBI and do that work.

:) Very true. There are many other government programs for people in need and it's not the job of the FBI to be concerned about such matters.

Usually the FBI will contact the foreign US embassy in the other country if it's concerning fraud. If the fraud amount isn't over $5,000 the act isn't criminal and the FBI wouldn't take the case. Not to mention that it costs a lot of money to prosecute any serious offenders.

Companies are better off taking the matters up through civil court.
