I'd like to point you guys to a feedback thread of a little-known company named Snake Inc.

Feedback Thread at Snake Inc.'s Forum (http://www.snake-inc.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2526)

I was one of the highest-ranking moderators there for about a year, but recently could not endure the lies and poor service which they presented other customers and thus wrote this depthful review. I'm looking to turn away anyone who may have found these guys and is considering hosting with them, paid or free. Snake Inc. is undoubtedly the poorest and most deceptive host which I've ever encountered.

Snake-inc was the first host I met.
I'm still member there and the communty is very friendly.
I moved my site only because I needed some more space.
And I'm now a beginning hosting provider.
but its still cool to post there.
What sodfather posted isn't true. snake-inc is a very good host if you ask me.
I dunno why he post like this, he was even staff of snake-inc.
Read the positive and negative feedback at this page.

Let me state something: this is the paid hosts forum, so you as a former free host have no business in this forum. If you want to review Snake Inc.'s free services, please do so in another category. What I've reviewed is the quality of the paid hosting experience.

Which make his claims seem all the more reasonable.

I was a long time moderator there, and was hosted (paid) there for about a year, and completely agree with Sodfather - I'll never go back to them

snake inc? the name itself sounds shady. when I say the name to myself, I feel like I'm getting ripped off!

Hey what'd my post get deleted for? Odd I thought it was on topic... The only thing that really needs repeating is:

Sod is evil. ;) (But is evil so bad? :o )

as for getting "ripped off" they always offer a refund in the cases I've seen.

And I guess I'll post it again. They do not tolerate spam things. AKA worldwideadvertiser. So If you wanna sell massive amounts of email addresses and almost get the IP blackholed, they'll delete ya. :p

I have no experience with Snake Inc. But anonymously bashing without posting the URL that you had hosted with them also brings up questions.

Sorry for not responding sooner; I thought this thread was dead.

Anyway, my URL was joanfanatics.com. Go there and you'll see that it's no longer in use. All that's there is a notice of the site's inactivity made by me.

And to address kode0001's comment, it is a perfect example of how being hosted with Snake Inc. will lower your expectations of a web host. When you've been with Snake Inc. for a year, a good host is no longer one which is efficient, consistent, and professional, but one which issues refunds promptly.

A good host is not one which sends out prompt and fair refunds, but rather one which never has to send out refunds in the first place!

Ok I agree 100% with SodFather also now. They broke my positive thoughts when they fired a good and friendly admin. (A good online friend of me).
I have looked at their forum and their support is very very bad.
I have heard all the bad story's about them. They rip money from ppl..

Resurrecting this thread yet again.

Snake Inc. along with all of their hosted sites (free and paid) have been offline for about a month, with the administrators leaving no contact info for support or refunds. The only contact info available is from a WhOIS lookup.

I haven't been affected by this, but I know of many people who still had several months of service paid for with them. Is there any legal action I can take with "Snake's" info as listed with GoDaddy? Without some kind of petition (most of the people who were ripped off lost contact with me when the Snake Inc. site went offline), I'm afraid nothing can be done about this. Right now, it seems like he'll get to keep his customers' money and all of their irretrievable files.

Any thoughts?
