If you are just learning I would go with PHP not perl cause PHP is easyer to learn. hey I learned it so anyone can ;)

well I know qbasic and visual baisic and a tiny bit of C so I know programming and the logic behind it

(I know they are for windows (well qbasic is dos) and perl is a mix of C But i got linux... I dont really know what to do in it other than play with the neat games that came with it, but im learning.
