Best free web statistics PHP/CGI scripts

I'm mainly looking for probably either a CGI, or PHP free web statistic script. Not just one, but a good "azz" one. I want some good quality options, along with nice graphics & layout design. I hate the ones that look like cluttered scrap.. I can't focus clearly on those at all. I've looked around a bit on the web, but thought that posting here might be faster for finding some of the main leading best (hopefully). Otherwise I'll continue looking through scripts sites.

It's a Perl script. But it's *slow* and consumes lots of server resources and time. It's not a counter - it analyses your log files, so you can actually just run it on your own home machine (which is what I do). (I suppose if you run it on your web server, your host will probably kick you out for hogging the server resources. :) )

Webalizer? How do you even set that up anyway? ..I look at the URL fatman posted.. and right at the bottom it has a comparison with AWStats, and Webalizer.. it says Webalizer is "C" language lucifer..

C will be faster than a perl script. Webalizer (or however it's spelled), can be run any time (generally done in cron) and then it generates reports based on the logs of your site.
