Hostcentris = BAD!

Hostcentris is a ripoff hosting company. I had my site hosted by them since march 26th and when july 15th came around the servers crashed and they never got the servers up and running properly since. They do not answer support emails, their webforums were/are broken, and as of today their domain is unaccessable. The contact phone number they gave out claimed they are not hostcentris and they "currently dont host websites". I purchase a year of hosting a domain for a year from them. I still have 8-9 months left of hosting and I cant cancel and get a prorate from their lack of service and support. And to top it all off they have my domain registrar locked so I have to get them to unlock the damn thing so I can transfer it.

Even if they come back and get everything functioning right in the future, don't trust them with your money. They are a ripoff.

Anonymous bashing of hosts eh? Why don't you type in hostcentris.com and see how their site looks... Oh wait nevermind you'll get a connection refused. (watch they put the site online now). I don't want everybody in existance visiting my site, but if it really makes a damn difference its {removed url}

Find one of the other 28 customers of hostcentris and ask them if their support is any good. I've tryed every possible means of contacting these people and nothing works. The closest I could get to them is their lawyer or something to that sort, CSC Lawyers Incorporating Service Company.

Sorry my last post may seem kinda arseholish... I don't mean to be a prick. I'm just very aggravated and I've been looking at thousands upon thousands of hosting packages only to turn up nothing good. I don't have much money and I can't afford the best hosting, but that doesn't mean I should get screwed. If someone wants to point me in the direction of a good host for 1gb space and 10gb transfer at a low rate please feel free to send me a pm or something. My site is online right now (although not functioning completely), but I don't feel like having it drop off like the hosts main site did.

Take a look through the offers forum and see if there is someone there who will suit you. Some of those hosts have a great reputation but don't just choose the cheapest unless you look up their whois to see how long they have been in the hosting business.

What is your budget, and what were you paying with HostCentris (out of curiosity)?

Schools back in now, so we will see a lack of new hosts finally, and see which ones are in it for the long haul :)

I too had a hostcentris account and I got in contact with the MSN support many times. They told me someone changed the password and gave me many email addresses which of course got no reply. It was a very good company while it lasted I guess.
