I dun really care about the speed now for DK3 and Mifix rite now. Althought mifix is faster than DK3, but i wanted to know how you guyz think which is more stable and will not gone in a few weeks or months time?
I am not familliar with DK3,
but i think definately after someone drinking (and bumbed into??) in the server room at mifix things will not go that well, hehe

I think right now, mifix is more stable, but dk3 doesn't look bad, I mean their 2 MB max file size rule will stop it from being overloaded by download sites, so maybe they can stay up longer...
Least I hope so that is...

I've never used DK3 yet, so I can not make a well qualified judgement. But, damn.. the speed sure does get to me.. eh. What's the url for DK3 again?

DK3 had stopped new sign ups for now but i still have an account with them. There is something strange with DK3. You cant setup msg boards there. :(
I have tried this and it will never works with my UBB.
But I can setup the UBB with mifix

I say go for DK3, atleast it responds to ping... Maybe they have bad weather and electrical storms where mifix is located. Wireless broadband can have its up and downs.. maybe the owners mom decided to plant a tree right infront of the antenna. :) joking...
Time of test: 2 AM PST

BTW, how wireless izzit actually is? Do you mean he dun need a cable but juz a cable modem connected to his comp and he can surf the net?
I am also on cable but no wireless of course. I need to get my cable modem to connected to a cable point outside my room and a network adapter to my computer.

If it actually does get speed up to at least decent.. it might kick azz. Right now I can't deal with mifix.net for the moment. I'm in the process of movin a site from mifix.net over to f2s.com... it's takin an azz long while to download the files. But, if mifix.net shows signs of actual decent like speed for a good 2 weeks, or so.. I'll move back..
It kinda reminds me of surecity.com in a way.. that host was slow as hell as well.. providing "unlimited" space... and some good quality features... but..... that's like.. sorta dead now.
EDIT: their.. support board still exists though.. uhh: http://pub26.ezboard.com/bsurecity
EDIT 2: ..wtf now mifix.net is loading all good for me.. eh..
If their are hosting on home cable / DSL equipment they for sure have a special agreement with their ISP. Or else it will not take too long before they just go dead. Without notice and never come back again.
Most ISPs pull the plug when they notice users break the service agreement.

Currently i have my banner exchange with yupapa but i dun think they have enough bandwidth. I feel like moving to DK3 but I am afraid they will gone a few months later as some ppl will sure to abuse this type of free services and they may shut down or maybe they cant afford anymore! :(

DK3.com does not allow banner exchange programes to be hosted.

ok then... :(
But i wouldn`t let members upload their banners. they will get their banners up somewhere probly their own server.
All i need is space for the members data(the script created them).
So is this ok with DK3 ole?
Dear Sir,
No sorry, DK3.com does not allow that. Because we feel that it will take the system resources from the other members.
So, no sorry
