I suggest you study your skills alot more, but I also don't want to come a cross rude.
I remember the days when one of my old sites looked similar (my 1st one infact), it will all come in time.

It's called an Avatar. And you have to have 200 posts or more to have one.

:D Hey Great feedback....

 But, it doesn't help me in any way just saying my websites suck!!!
Or re-learn my skills...

I don't critisizm but, it would be awesome if you told me what was wrong with my pages and not just give opinions they suck!!!

I don't do web development for a living I create pages for fun or for some of my families businesses to get a little more advertisements.

So what I am getting at is if you think they need improve me give me a suggestion or some advice.

Since you guys seem to be the experts I don't mind having a few pointers thrown my way.

Peace out .... HGW

ok heres some guidlines you should follow when making a web site (in my opinion anyways)

1. never have to much animation, i would say that if you have to have animation it shouldnt be more that 50X50 pixels because its hard on the eyes and is constantly distracting you to look elsewhere on the screen

2. choose 3 or 4 nice looking colours and stick with them, preferably colours that contrass with eachother this way its easy to read and it give your site a sense of uniform

3. a background image as a patern looks to busy and makes the site look messy

4. remeber every one likes good ol' black letters on a white background and mabee some colour to the top/bottom and sides to spice it up

less is more ;)

Great tips.... My personal site I am not tippically following the normal website of plain and simple. ( regards to animations and graphics):p I am not trying to display plain and simple website because my own personality doesn't follow this it is out of the norm. So this page may not change a whole lot.

But, for the rest of my websites I will try to make them plain and simple to be easier on the eyes.

Thanks for the good tips.

Keep em coming....

Homey the Great.

What also might help is learn to work with Photoshop or something like that..

You can make a Layout in it, cut it up and make your site with it!

Later on try learn some scripring itīs not that hard.

Hey DaPoEd,

I thought about using Dream Weaver and Photoshop but, I like generating everything in Plain old HTML coding. Even with Photoshop and some other editors you need to use HTML to adjust things.

I use photoshop for images of gifs and jpegs.

I do aggree they would be helpful. Also I currently want to learn more about ASP scripting, CGI scripting, JSP scripting, and Cold Fusion time.

I just have the time right now. Between College, work, keeping up with my house, and spending time with family I haven't had extra time to pick up new ways of scripting.

Thanks for the ideas though... :D

Don't worry Some year I will actually have more of my sites interactive. Just now I don't have the time and energy to build interactive scripts to increase my flow of traffic.

So they will stay static for a some time till I get around to it.

Homey G Wiz .... Time is Money.... Don't have a lot of either :p
