Both services are offering very economical packages. I went through both websites and found that gazzin had a more structured website as well as better support methods. I also went through their client testimonial forum and found good responses and experiences as well. On the other hand, zoneserv support methods seems very limited and are limited to Email and Instant messaging support methods. Although I have not directly dealt with both companies, my first impression on gazzin is better than zoneserv. Also it seems that zoneserv only includes a 7 day money back guarantee while on gazzin you can enter in the promotion code: gazzincom and receive a 30 day free trial and on top of that, gazzin has a 30 day money back guarantee which is better than zoneserv.

My advice will be to try contacting both companies and asking more in depth about their services. IE. what other guarantees do they have? Also read through both of their terms of services thoroughly. I wish you the best of luck with your host find!

Best Regards,
Edward

Yes although their plan has less bandwidth than zoneserv.. you have to realize that both plans are priced outrageously low.

As for the bandwidth by cogent, I did a tracert on the gazzin.com domain name and don't see any cogent bandwidth. Although they might use another server for their clients, which I don't know, but it seems the gazzin.com domain is located at The Planet. You should definately directly contact them about it though, sources may not always be right ;)

Yeah, and the feedback from Gazzin is good, so i doubt its Cogent :) i like gazzin

There is nothing wrong with cogent, don't believe the hype. I've got a client who has a GigE connection which is constantly above 500Mbit sustained bandwidth and they have had NO unscheduled downtime in over a year.

Having said that, as previously mentioned those prices are insanely low for that amount of resources. I'd think carefully. If they do not manage their overselling extremely well, the performance of your sites and those of your clients will suffer.

:) Yes I have to agree that this is overselling in action again, this type of business plan is not sustainable and while they may appear to be good to start with, you might wish you had gone for a host with more realistic pricing when the problems start.

I also agree with eboundary and find those prices extremely low. You should really contact these hosts and ask them how many domains are hosted on each server and details that will affect the server's performance.

they told me this:

Our bandwidth is not cogent. Its powered by three carriers which are nlayer, broadwing, and globalcrossing. Speeds are very fast and reliable for all
customers.

We limit resellers on each number to the specs we have. So far we havent had a problem with load average. If its something we didnt expect we usually upgrade our hardware.

How was the response times? Contact them a couple more times and see how their response times vary.

NedPGT

I did already, the fastest one was 5 minutes,
the longest one was 2 hours and 22 minutes

they also told me this:

We own our servers and we have the ability to provide low prices to our clients. Also, yea we do allow overselling on our accounts. I am not sure if we are going to be raising the prices in the future but if you order now, you will the same amount for the rest of the time you have an account with us. Our main site was down but our client servers were up and running. Our main site Gazzin.com is not related to our client servers. We keep them separate. Sorry, at this moment we dont provide any custom plans. Yes, we are planning to stay in business for a long time and that why we started this business. Gazzin.com is a new side company ran by Psychz Networks. http://www.psychz.net they have been around for almost 3 years serving businesses and corporate account. They started gazzin.com because many resellers were looking for more space / bandwidth and anonymity with their name servers.

Well then, if you feel that they are a reliable and good hosting company then go sign up :) In the end, it is really you who makes the decisions

Yeah, well, gazzin will be worth it, ask them how many customers they have? if they are all happy, then it must be ok, in my eyes.

Would that be a biased comment since you are a friend of Zoneserv.com, according to your post in another friend:

You were promoting them pretty heavily at WHT even before your account was set up. So what? You been with them a week now? Hardly time enough for a recommendation.

I've been with them for a few weeks, and no, it is not a biased comment. Gil is just a nice guy, who I just met because of ZoneServ.
