i have a registered domain name and want to use mdaemon as my mail server to send and receive mails in my organisation. i do not want to use the service providers e-mail as i plan to have dedicated server for my e-mail and other web based programs. what do i need to do with regard to IP, DNS etc as this is all new to me. can someone please give me a step by step run through on how to setup my mail server and what i need to do. Thanks :classic2:

find a program that you can use as a DNS server, meaning you are your own DNS server. Set it up to host your own domain, set your domain to point to your ip address. The rest can be set in mdaemon, as it's pretty easy to follow.
