Because the domain's theirs, they might not renew it when they run out of cash or something. But normally, I think you'll get to use the domain for a lifetime.

After this period, it will be released most likely. Possibly you can buy it back, although it did say he would give it to you for free if he was not renewing it. By he, I mean Albert Kan.

I don't think he'll give it to you for free, you'll need to pay him $50. Or maybe he'll release it, and then you can snatch it back at some other registrar.

That's because he is Swedish or something...You could always email him yourself and ask...and tell me the answer.
