where r u pinging from?
ping rates depend on your location, network traffic, your connection speed, and alot of other things. so whats slow to you may not be slow to everyone else

Slow from here too (Sweden). With 69 bytes they ping an average of 484 compared to a site on Directoris 210 and one on f2s 202.

Strange.. they seem extremely fast from here in Northwest USA..
However they don't ping too great; I get an amazing 16 ms average ping from Hypermart right now while I get an average 130 ping from ssales.com

I don't trust ping. f2s always ping good for me even if they are ---- slow when I go there with the browser. That they should be a little faster than Directoris is ridiculous. Guess one has to see ping as an indication only. ssales was slow with browser too.

As somebody pointed out the speed at which your connection is made has more to do with the local loop than the server at the far end. That said ssales.com seems faster from Japan the US and OZ than it is from Europe.
They DO allow all sorts of cgi scripts and downloads (even .zip files) but they'll ban people who abuse the system so don't use it as a library .......... No adverts is a big plus factor.
