Hi there! I'm new here. Can somebody help me out with this board? What do you do? Where do you post? Topics that is most likely to talk about. What are the character descriptions? etc.

Hi! Welcome to the fws.net forums. Here at the "General Chat" forum, you can post anything that doesn't belong in the other sections, like the "Free Webspace" or "Domain Registration" forums.

Umm... "what do you do"? Uh.. you don't post any nasty stuff (pr0n), you don't make personal attacks, you don't spam/flood, you don't do anything that's not allowed (http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/announcement.php?forumid=15). Anything else's fine.

Break the rules once, you'll most likely get a warning from the mods. Break 'em repeatedly after warning and you'll find yourself banned.

That's about it, I guess.

I also notice that most people here especially the ones who reply to this post has more than 2000 posts. When did this forum started?

Oct. 25 2000 I believe... of course there were other forums here before this vBulletin, but they were the ol' fashioned WWWboards.

Some people around here like to generate worthless topics and reply to them to generate tons of posts. I won't say any names..... <cough> Coolin <cough>

And atlas. I do not start up many useless topics. I've only started up two. One was concerning my avatar, the other was just celebrating a certain amount of posts. How are these useless?

It's impossible to do convincing fake edits anymore, since the "edited by" message shows up below the signature these days. :(

[This has been a useless post, intended to get me closer to 200.]

[This has been a useless post, intended to get me closer to 200.] I know... But LeX's HAHAHAHAHA!!! was convincing enough to make me think that he actually believed it. But I dunno if he did or not.

Well friend_al_23, use this thread as an example of how quickly things go off topic. As for your earlier question: almost anything goes in the general forum, and the other forums usually stay pretty close in topic to their titles.

Freewebspace Forums... The home of the off topic threads.

LeX

Yeah, they discuss Paid Hosting here at the FreeWebspace.net forums.... :D

Coolin, I half believed it. But I don't like deleting my posts... then other people won't know what the people after me were talking about if they were talking about what I posted. I hate that.
