need help with add domain

ok , i got the info domain free. i could add the domains yesterday but now i want you to show me the right way, cause i not good at cpanel.

should i click on "addon domains" or "park domain" ? i don't understand the diffrence. i got host by crazyhost (zinix.net) with thier subdomain.

park domain: the domain when fully functional will access your home directory just like your master domain (or subdomain), must point the dns to the server.

addon domain: can point to any subdirectory within the server as long as it is hosted, must point the dns to the server.

Yuo need to make sure you set the name servers at the domain regisrtar to your host

then go to your cpanel and clcik parked domains add it there
the difference is parked makes it so your whole directory is accesable from the domain

addon creates another subdir acts like another site

with addon you cant point to your original site in public_html without redirect

so use parking

hmm.. i just reg 1 at www.domaindiscount24.net and i don't know why i can access the website www.vinatrade.info at the laptop but my friend can''t access. i did change the dns yes and they are working this morning

Usually takes anywhere from 1-3 days
But I'v even seen cases of 6-7 days before domains were working.

Some ISP's are slower then others. You may suggest him to use a proxy to access the domain until his ISP resolves it.

yes i know, i sat in the livingroom and try to access the site and i can't. so i asked him too. and i misstyped once www.domaindiscount.net and i got 127.0.0.1 which means my localhost lol

oh oh i know whats wrong youve got DNS1.ZINIX.NET
it should be ns1.zinix.net and ns2.zinix.net with out the D on the begining try changing that then it will have access to the host server lol

well, you have to wait for whois to be updated.
mines updated to active, www.stanz55.info

.net usually take as long as .com to update so it can take from 1 day and up

the whois.sc says dns1.zinix.net but i don't know. .info update info faster than .info . i reg a .info domain and got it work direct

im still able to access but your whois still sais its unactive if io where you id try the ns1 +2 if you get nothing after a couple of hours then you can change back to dns1 and 2

You need to update the nameservers for the domain your adding to the ones that the original domain uses for i.e. ns1.dc1pop.co.uk etc etc.

they wont be able to set it up unless the nameservers are pointing in the correct place then its easy as 1,2,3!!! All you need to do is for the domains you wish to add change the nameservers of whoever hosts them to the nameserver your aco---- is held on.

so here are the basic steps to configure your domain and host correctly:

At your domain admistration: set ns1 and ns2 to point directly to the server where you are hosted (ex: ns1.domain.com , ns2.domain.com).

At your Cpanel on your host: go to park or add on domain and enter the domain name you want to host in (remember to wait the amount of time for dns to change and point to your server)

anyways, mine is done with infos but not pic.
so leave that whois source thing and check back later.

so is it dns1.zinix.net or ns1.zinix.net? and how r u changing dns for the .info domains? i cant do this for some reason.

each time you go to something control, you get that message must host at these nameservers.
try contact them.
if u have luck, they help u.
if not, too bad. coz http://domaindiscount24.com does have DNS control.

yeah dns works perfectly on domainsite if it seems unavailable on your account its probably because you have forwarding enabled which uses default domainsite dns
