Peo, www.home.mastersites.com says that they do NOT offer things like CGI, PHP, or MySQL.
It's very cleverly hidden because it looks like you get those, when you actually don't.

Hehehe.. umm.. how exactly can you do that?
I guess you could start a FreeDedicatedServers.com clone with 1 MB and offer free servers to everyone who signs up.. but of course your offer would be totally false then..
Is this guy for real?! (http://www.dto.f2s.com/Duhh/mastersites.gif)

I think "Mike" is either the webmaster, or totally fictitious.

Hey everyone...
First of all, I'd like to thank rmsharpe for reporting the error in our site description. Perhaps they should be more careful in reviewing new webhosts? :D But then again, who am I to criticize.
Ah... and then we have all of the wonderful comments about Master Sites. If you haven't yet glanced down at the signature for this message, I do run Master Sites and would like to make a few comments of my own. :p
1 MB of space is certainly not enough to maintain a growing web site. Which is exactly why we only offer 1 MB. Our goal is to have webmasters upgrade their hosting status to 15 MBs of space for only $9.95 / year. Or even upgrade to one of our many virtual hosting plans. In the meantime, 1 MB is certainly enough to run a personal site for all of the people who can't afford web hosting. If I had the time, I'd browse through the 1000 or so customers of Master Sites and pick out a few good examples.
Also, I really had a good laugh out of Gayowulf's comments, because for one, my name is Mike... unfortunately, not the same "Mike" as the one who submitted their comments to us. He is one of many customers who are very happy with our services. Master Sites is one of the few sites that I know of (I was once only a webmaster myself) that offers free hosting without all of the complications that you find at Geocities or Tripod. Our hosting is banner-free and on a server that is not over-loaded...
On top of it all.... as you can see, we are very personal with our customers and do take the time to answer every support or sales question.
And if you still don't believe our customers truly do love our services, then try to explain these: http://www.home.mastersites.com/testimonials.shtml. (I don't have that much creativity, or free time on my hands. :p)
I'm looking forward to hearing your comments.

Maybe you paid someone with creativity to make 'em up for you? ;):p

Why don't you link to the people's pages so that people know you're telling the truth about what they say?
I just think it would help for all of the skeptics.

Sure, maybe that will help in the future. :)

Those are some of the sites that came up when I browsed through a listing of our 500+ customers.
www.tbleckley.com is a customer who submitted their comments to us, but has since upgraded to domain hosting.
If you want specific sites for any specific comments, I can find those as well, but is this really necessary?
Thanks,
Michael @ Master Sites
