Is it possible to add more nameservers to a domain (well, I know it's possible) but if I add two more nameservers, do they serve as a backup? IE: If they first 2 nameservers don't resolve, will it use the secondary nameservers?

Most domain registrars can hold 4-5 nameservers. If it can't find your account at the IP address ns1 is pointing to, it will go to ns2. If it can't find it there, it will try ns3 (if there is one), etc.

This should help, now just to find a free seperate server for a backup situation :)
