I just bought a minidisc player and I need some headphones.

I'm stuck on two models:

- JVC HA-B25

-Sony E818LP
http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B00005QBUU.02.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

The sonies are 15$+tx and the JVC's are 50$+tx

I'v already owned the sonys and enjoyed the sound quality and portability.
However the JVC's have caught my eye. They look nice, have incredible bass response, leather covering, plus they make me look even sexier :p

But they both have downsides.
For the sonys I'v already ----ed 2 or 3 pairs by aspiring one earbud into the vaccum while vacuing.
As for the JVC's, the behind-the-neck model cant be worn unter hats in the winter.

I was planning on taking the JVC's for a spin for 30 days and if for any reason I wasnt enjoying them, I'd simply give them back to the store.

Any one had any encounters with those jvc's and could tell me his experience? there's only 1 review I found outside future shop's website.

(Is there a pic for the JVC ones? Not showing up here.)
I'd go with the sony ones. I have the $25 Sony behind-the-head type headphones that everyone has, work fine. You can purchase music with the extra $35.

Wojtek, if you want to look sexy, get the Koss PortaPros. You'll be the man of the hour.

People will stare at me all right, but not caus of my sexiness but cuz of the ugly phones :p

I don't buy music

I'll try the JVC's first I think.
And if they dont fit my needs I'll give them back and get the good ol sonies.

I always use my sennheiser hd 270's for the studio, mixing, and on the move, very good headphones, may be a bit more bulky than you want though.

I sometimes use a pair of real old (maybe 8yrs or more) sony in the ear thingies, don't really know if they still sell them, but they are also excellent, but the sennheiser hd 270's always cut out any noise, if your in a bus, train, car, bike, etc - and have a excellent sound quality to them - I can't explain until you've used them yourself - truly amazing peice of kit to have.

I do have a pair of wireless sennheiser that I currently use. Excellent sound indeed among all sennheisers.

The headphones I want are for commuting only.

For my studio I'm getting a pair of sony mdr-v500dj

Don't diss the PortaPros. They're the sexiest things around.
