Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any expirence with gazzin.com as thier host. I am looking for a new one as I am tired of the amount of downtime at my current host(ultrixhosting.com my site is comp-reviews.com and my friend who i host is studiojaymz.com). The packages on there looked good i was just wondering about uptime, support etc before i jump into something like i did at ultrixhosting.
Thanks

Quite an irresponsible remark.. Although they do have cheaper plans, you can't really judge a company on their prices. Every hosting company at a point oversells.. its the nature of the business and thats if you want to stay in competition with your competitors. People must realize that your plans should not be there to cover your server costs.. those expenses are minimal. But most of your expenses would be in server maintainence, support tech reps and other staff. Many quality providers, like hostrocket and other larger providers oversell. The crucial point would be to have a limit on your overselling and so that it will not affect customers.

The reason i didnt post what i need is because i was looking in another thread about a month ago here and one company posted about what i needed and the site looked okay, this company is ultrixhosting, since then ive had a lot of downtime which isnt acceptable. They also dont seem to know whats going on with the server sometimes. I told them they need to install the last part of imagemagick because i was trying to install gallery, they claimed it to be installed and since they have not payed any attention to this and im still without gallery. They have had probably close to 2 days of downtime and ive been with them just over a month. They garuntee 99.9% uptime 2 days downtime in one month isnt a good way to show me that you are going to keep your word. And since this i really dont feel like taking a chance that could put me in the same situation im in now.
This host had nice prices for what i need. Also has anyone ever used http://www.zoneserv.com or http://www.post2host.com

I dunno about those places, but I've got a list of a few you might consider...I'm going to be making a webhost sometime in the near future (under 3 months), so I did some research of my own:
- OptixDesigns.com - Looks like a good site, been around for 2 years I believe, and the plans are believable. They've got cPanel, Fantastico, unlimited domains, ect.
- ssWebhost.com - Prices a little higher than Optix, but they claim to have extremely good support and they have quite a few extras.
- AncileHosting.co.uk - I'm not too sure about these guys due to the low prices, but they have been around for a year or more, and they are located in the UK.
Whoo hoo! Way for me to further complicate the process of you choosing a host.

We can help you out of course, but keep in mind we aren't really activating accounts yet, as we are moving to a new server sometime this week (hopefully) and quite frankly, we don't want to load more people on a sinking ship (our current managed.com server...)
But as soon as we move, we will be up and running full force again.
Just post what you need and we can see what we can do for you.

Death, thanks for replying but i would kind of like someone who has been around a while, i see what can happen with a new host. Plus if your site was a little more professional and not just a phpbb forum with a mod on it id think about it more ontop of the fact that we need hosting real soon.
