To be honest, I don't think any webhosts (except for the specialized ones) have anything against the hosting of anime stuff... unless of course you plan to put those clips on their servers, then you'll have to see if they allow your file type.
Really tho, how much space d'ya need or what script supports?
Cuz right now, I think u could go along and try to open an account at most web hosts without a prob.
Hypermart.net (http://www.hypermart.net) would be good for an anime site. They offer 50 megabytes, unlimited CGI/PERL scripts, SSI, 500 meg's of bandwidth, and I think PHP.
I have an anime site too and hypermart seems to be able to handle the bandwidth. I dont mean to spam but my site's URL is http://saiyan-realm.net (http://www.saiyan-realm.net)

yeah, Hypermart is a decent choice if u don't mind a banner or giving your credit card details away that is....
they didnt ask me for my credit card...just a pay-for email address :( but I signed up about 3 months ago. I also suggest http://uzipp.com because they use RaQ4 servers and tons of space, unlimited CGI/PERL, PHP, MySQL, you can host other sites if you have a domain name, they will install CGI scripts for you on request, and you can request more space when you need more. The only downside is that you have to put their button and their 468x60 ad banner on your site. But it kind of makes sense since they're so nice to their members. and SoulReaver...i think I know you from somewhere...

What ever site you choose, don't make it prohosting.com, or anything like it. a few gigs of all my files are deleted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh the torment, I also forgot to say, if you are going to put stuff like that, try putting it in .ace, .rar, or other file format, that'll preven websites from putting, ...404warez.error. And they were fansub too...............
Final suggestion: don't give me more ads SoulWeaver. I just blocked all of them with my ad killer anyways, but it's really annoying. You're making your site look like as if it's a warez site. Those forced voting really *&##es most people off. I wouldn't vote for you even if you paid me. Anyways, FortuneCity was a good place to put your anime. Downside is that it's unreliable. Also beware all of you, some sites can detect your IP addresses, like freeserver and websites to detect fraud and stuff. And uh SoulWeaver, still haven't regeistered for that leech protector thingy? It doesn't due #$%^!!!! I can see all of your links and pages. But it sure blocks newbie's from stealing your links.
You've made a great new site that looks professional, (i haven't worked on mine for decades since stupid prohosting incident) if you get more episodes and movies, sure more people will visit your site. Please try to cut the forced voting and the stupid popups, thankz.

Thanx Arcainic for the suggestions.
I'll get rid of the voting thing asap. The anti leech thing at least I tried, I just dont like when I upload something and some mofo comes links it and claims the link is his. *GRINS*
Also do you know any cgi scripts that will prevent leechers from leeching?
