WFTU website

hey whats up guys? I just found this forum, and its exactly what ive been looking for! Anyway my friend and i have just started doing some webdesigning for local businesses and organizations. i wanted to get your opinion on this site we are currently working on. Anyway last year my friend Tim and I collaborated on the website for his college's radio station that had just started. the fruits of our first labor can be found here.

since then weve decided to redesign the site. Were nearly done with it but i figured id get some opinions on it. Feel free to give comments on both sites but im mainly looking for feedback on this one.

i like both sites, load quick. purple hurts my eyes, so i vote for site 2.
