I recently deleted a big folder off my hd
When I came to empty the recyce bin, it tells me:

Are you sure you want to delete 'Windows' ? Yes/No
(the folder wasnt windows..)

Yes->

Cannot remove folder "somefilename"
Cannot find the specified file

Make sure you specify the correct path and file name

ok..
Now what do I do? :p

(When I open the bin it's empty, no files/folders and restore all items dosnt do nothing)

try going to C:\RECYCLER and try emptying that bin in there or try deleting it

I dont have a C:\recycler
I have C:\Recycled

going inside gives me an empty folder like the bin itself (its the same folder)
and deleting it gives me the same error as above

ohh that happens to me sometimes as well.. wierd problem with XP.. just log off... or shut down and start again.. then either the folder will be gone or you will be able to delete the files.. happens when the system is locked onto some files and although its of no use anymore but still does not unlock them.. or something like that....

the other problem that i have noticed with it is.. even though you do not have any files in the recyle bin but it still shows the "files in recycle bin" icon.
