I posted before and it seems people didn't read clearly, so I'll like to state a few detailed messages before you apply. This hosting is't:
A FILE STORAGE, A MEDIA HOSTING, WAREZ HOSTING, OR ANYTHING ILLEGAL. No Hotlinking will be allowed to any other sites, example: fileplanet.com. All hostees have all files and images to the 1gb of space your given. Your site must have something outgoing (updated 3-4 times a week) Not something to put up for show. If you are turned down or denied from this hosting offer, you cannot go and flame on this post like some guy I knew. Thank-You.

Of course by hotlinking he means you can't even link to the page with the links to a downloadable file. This hosting is horrible, he won't let you link to any files at all, not even a page that has files on it.

This is tricky because with his TOS nobody will ever use more than 50mb. You can't have links on your page and you can't have any interesting content. You will never use 20gb bandwidth if you don't offer something interesting that gets people to visit your site. If you can't have links to content and all you are allowed to upload is images then how are you supposed to get any hits? We all know nobody wants to visit a boring site that has nothing but binary text on it.

This guy also changes his story. If you don't believe me go ahead and visit his last post hosting offer. There you will see he accused me of wanting to host warez (he's the one hosting warez on his own site, not me) and he accused me of wanting to use it for file storage and I told him I wouldn't upload anything on his server other than my page. He also claims I wanted to hotlink, and that I wanted to steal other users bandwidth. He even said fileplanet doesn't offer free webspace LOL.

It's obvious this guy is not very professional and tries to find excuses out of hosting people. He gave 5-10 "reasons" why he wasn't going to host me, then apparently realizing I had never wanted to do anything he said (everything from hotlinking to files to hosting media files on his site all the way to hosting warez) he goes and says "I don't like gaming sites im not hosting you"

If you go to his other post you can see the examples of the crap sites he is hosting. If you want quality then stay away from this host, but don't take my word for it, be my guest and sign up.

Take this as a flame if you will, post flames if you will. We all know this post is not a flame at all, it's a review. But at least you know everything I have said is true. This guy has multiple personalities or something.

All hostees can use files, links, images to the 1gb of space your given. If you got anymore flaming, say it on msn instead of causing spammage on FWS forums.

There are a few ways in which you could adjust the space till the limit of the gigabyte, but for the most part he cannot go over the total of all of the accounts quota.

In support of your host I clicked on all the links there including the google one. I may not want to be hosted, but all free hosts need some help.

How is it hotlinking to link to fileplanet's page with the link to the download? It is allowed in file planet's tos and they still get the hits from it. It is only hotlinking if I linked like this: www.fileplanet.com/file.zip. Learn the facts before you make yourself look retarded :rolleyes2

well I've read some of these posts and other past posts of elitegrounds hosting. My opinion is that he rejected you for a bad reason even when you clearly explained to him about fileplanet(I know about it and it is allowed to post links of files from the site and that's how some people save file and bandwidth from their own server). Plus if I remember correctly, he accepted other people even though they had media too?(not sure on this) And claiming that you would have illegal files even though you said the videos were yours. But problem is that he has power to reject you.

one guy is offering a PRIVATE hosting and HE is not A PRO. HE NEVER said he was a PRO.
then, there is another guy tried to apply for the hosting, but he got denied. From the very deep of his heart, he started hating the guy who provides the free hosting and started -----ing in the forums.
end of the story.
He gave me the hosting, and Its decent.
Plus. dude you got 1gb of space. You can upload a LOT of things. What things are interesting? I dont think people will open a file that is bigger than 200 MB and watch it for 2 hrs and still think its funny or interesting. So, what i am tring to explain is, stop STEALING ppl's work by hotlinking. Thats what the "hotlinking" means. So, make up ur mind and have some orignal work. Gl.

Dude this IS funny. I never said I was going to hotlink, and the work is mine, uploaded at file planet, a storage site made for storing videos, since you obviously don't understand what you are talking about I will break it down for you.

If you knew what the hell you were talking about you would also know that file planet has an anti-hotlinking script that doesn't let you hotlink. You can only link to a html page with a link that says "click here to download" which gives them hits. Hotlinking would be uploading a video there and linking to the FILE. Get this through your head and stop making yourself look stupid to the other members. This is not working around hotlinking, it is just the way things are done, it's the whole purpose of file planet BEING there. Email the staff of file planet and ask for yourself if you have any objections to this.

If you can show me in the terms of service where it says I can't link to a page with my file on it then i'll be quiet, until then you are wasting your time trying to make me look like a flamer who is relentlessly -----ing a guy out for not giving me hosting.

Am I aggrivated that he didn't give me hosting? Yes and no. If he would have given a valid reason then I would have understood, I've been turned down many times on free hosting, and I have two free hosts and a paid host on the way so I don't really care about this guys hosting anyway. The truth is he turned me down for no reason. He didn't even look at the video content. My site was well within his TOS. He said no video files on his server, there was none. He didn't say you couldn't link. After I have mentioned this to him he said "I don't like what your site stands for promoting media" Even if it's not on his server.

It's clear to see that you are one of those people who sign up for free hosting everywhere, I have seen you put in applications at at least 3 different hosting companies in the past week and post on several more of the topics. People will watch a file that is well over 200mb and think it's interesting, I can vouch for this judging from the number of bandwidth and hits combo video and gaming sites use each month, but since he doesn't allow media files on his server I never had it planned to do that. Let me see what your website is about and see how interesting it is.

when a host says NO HOTLINKING , they MEAN , do not store your files on OUR SERVER and link it to another site
any host who means do not hot file on ANOTHER SERVER and link it toy your page on OUR server is a dumb @ss ( unless its porno or hate and maybe warez ) , but linking from ANOTHER server to a page on YOUR server does not draw bandwith from YOUR server.
