Hello. I am looking in to buying a Sony Hi8 Handycam Camcorder CCDTRV328.. (name directly from website). The site gives little description. It only says
2.5" SwivelScreen LCD monitor
20x optical and 990x digital zoom
Easy Handycam button
SteadyShot picture stabilization
NightShot Plus Infrared System
Hi8 video recording
I was wondering if anyone here could give me a better description, or any other features it may have, like i.Link, firewire, USB 2.0, editting, still shot capabilities. Any other features. I am hoping to buy one soon, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

I don't think a miniDV is in my price range, or best for what I want. Thanks for the suggestion though! I think I have found all the info I need.

for firewire, USB 2.0, editing, still shot capabilities digital 8 would be the way to go but will cost slightly more than hi8, but will be a much better camera than the hi8 quality wise

I am only 15. I can't legally work yet in my state, so raising 300 something dollars is about the best I can do for now, I will look in to how much of a price difference there is, and perhaps be able to raise more. If I can, I will go with digital 8 most definitely (or, finance permitting, a miniDV), but if not, I think hi8 will do fine for now. Thanks again!

Well, I ended up getting a Sony Digital8. The price was a little higher, but it is definitely worth it! It has a great sound, a great picture and a USB cable, as well as software! Thanks for the advice! I am really glad I went with Digital.
