help with internet speed??

i have a pc 1.8ghz
40 gb hard drive
all the usuall stuff

i want to use it as a webserver for a personal site for me and a larger number of mates to use. i currently have 750kb Ntl broadband is this connection going to be fast enough its going to be shared between my main home pc , and the pc i want to use as a aserver.

or shud i scrap this idea and save up for some proper hosting.

Depends on how popular the site you are going to host is. I would scrap the idea if I were you, unless you are going to serve mostly tet only.

when you say 750kb, is that download or upload? Download is of no importance, it's the upload that you need.

750kb is the download, then the upload would most likely be half or more of of it. If you wanna host it for a large number of mates, I'd say no way you'll be able to handle that.

You would be better off buying some webhosting. I tried this once and its not good espically for privacy on sp2 didnt do it no good :)

Just buy a reseller account to start off with if you don't wanna spend loads - they're really not that expensive...
