This is what I request:

At least 500mb of space(the more the better)
At least 10gigs of bandwidth(can change depending on the change)
Cpanel or Ensim or Plesk
I get 75% of commision

I already have a domain name, so providing one is not necessary.

I may be able to help you depending on what your thread actually means.

Please contact me via AIM: NDPWeb

Yo he wants free money by asking for a free reseller account and he wants to get the better share.

That sounds like a pretty bad deal. A free reseller so you could get 75% of it? Who would do that? Do not mention that you could sell maybe one good size account with only 500 MB space and 10 GB bandwidth. :confused4

It's not a bad deal. It is wishful thinking that the web hosts here are stupid. You might as well save up and get a decent reseller account then try tricking the decent web hosts here. :P

Looks like the guy doesnt know what he wants after speaking through AIM.

jiehao85

Then he is the stupid one then. If you want a reseller account, you can always get a cheap one. There's just too many kids taking the plunge into web hosting thinking that it is easy money for taking.

He believed he could get 150-200 clients in the first month :shame:

Maybe if you had read my post, it said free, not paid.

Maybe you should be clearer, asking for free services includes responsability on your part.

You will be using services and hardware that costs millions, do not take such a flippent attitude with the hosts.

In case your wondering your request is unclear and now you go for telling a prospective host off, when they are the ones paying for their part of the datacenters services that would support your 'business idea'.

If you even serious then get a business plan together that will impress a possible sponsor/investor.

Couple of starting points - how do you get the 75% figure associated with the very small reseller request and 150-200 clients. Trust me on one thing - this industry has no room for those who cannot control the impulse to be impatient. It's one of the main stays for anyone that has to deal with clients, and you jumped straight in with another post that doesn't explain anything.

Please respect those that bothered to contact you and realise that they are doing you the favour.

I know, but 5gigs of space and 50gigs bandwidth for 18 a month? I mean, I have no money to spend.

Decker
October 25th, 2004, 17:13
5 and 50 you have to be kidding, do you know how much that can cost a host.

jackhammerslam
October 25th, 2004, 17:15
Someone told me that was a rip off that used to do hosting.

jiehao85
October 25th, 2004, 19:05
Someone told you? You should go clarify and research on that yourself then. A low cost reseller account with 5GB and 50GB bandwidth can be bought at $12-$15/mth. There are cheaper and smaller packages, of course. You need a business plan as well.

Shyper doesn't offer reseller. I work as a forum mod for them anyway.

(Shyper don't offer much anything to be honest...eh, CC?)
While I'm dreaming on here:
Anybody got a Cray X1 - 60 processor (kinda like Boeings) that they need to discard of? It'd be nice to do some neat aerospace apps!
I figure those are old enough to be replaced
Ha!

If you are interested in getting a reseller account, you will need to save up to at least cover a few month's cost. It's unlikely anyone will offer you anything for a deal lidat and it's immpossible to get even 100 customers in a month. Furthermore, on a small reseller acount like that, you won't be able to hold 100 customers on it.

How about buying your own server and give us free resellers accounts :D
Let's see how much it will keep :D

I guess you'd know about that first hand, huh?
Funny how they advertise a lot and do nothing.
They screwed their chance with me. If anybody asks me about 'em, I'll tell exactly what I think :shame:
I think it's ran by a bunch of grade school kids who have no clue about the weight their reputation carries.
Maybe they'll prove me wrong, but the only place I see them going is away.

LOL, your kidding right? Shyper is run by guys in their 20's and 30's.

Decker

It's run from PO boxes in Vancouver

admin@shyper.com
Box 76033
Coal Harbour RPO
Vancouver, BC V6E4P1
CA
604-630-9409

If your so tight with them ask them for the reseller - or are you just not trusted to have any sort of access like that.

Your asking for a reseller free and you mod for another hosting company.

1. You've been told no.
2. You've not asked.

You have a go at folks here for not kneeling and doffing their caps and you constantly mention the same co. that won't give you a reward for your mod work.

Time to get an attitude - try E-Bay.

I started off asking for a free reseller to start free hosting, i got 500 Megs Space and 10 Gig bandwidth. I still have that reseller and am now good friends with the man who host me (IMO anyway he might not like me, only kiddin matey) I did a lot for him aswell, i changed his forums over, added a couple of mods, added a helpdesk, and am now in the process of making a new design for the website. IMO i earned the reseller, so you cant just ask for that much space and bandwidth and give nothing back, also if you are involved with another host dont get involved with more.

andrewb
November 3rd, 2004, 15:46
Bet i would

so then you won't tell us?

Decker
November 3rd, 2004, 15:59
No you are that stupid, just prove your claim. No one is looking to take your account and it would be good advertising for the provider, so what's the problem.

Oh! Unless your full of it and no one will host you.

So you lost the bet :D

Nvm... Shyper's guys might not be grade school kids but their forum moderator definitely is one or is behaving like one. Why would we want a reseller account like yours when we are paying for our own servers or resellers? We ain't that cheap. As for your FOREVER, make sure it's really forever and your web host won't go bust. :P

? You come on here asking for reseller and now you're worried about them taking one?
I don't get it.
You bet you would, but you won't...I still don't get it.
Sounds like grade school logic to me.
I know I've had 3 of my own in grade school...

I can never understand the attitude of give it to me free, then put others down that may seem to be asking questions.

Trust me someone asks to borrow my car I do an indepth not just hand over the keys as the first thing they need to prove is they can be trusted, even long known friends, the basic info as in where are you going what for and how long are basics and never taken as being snooping, and if I get attitude - no chance.

Just remember - want something for nothing - prove you need it - you deserve it - you have good reason to even ask.

There are loads of people supported by hosts on this board that have done just that and get loads of help with every aspect (something which would cost paying clients a load of cash). The services supplied by hosts here are mostly on an 'out of the goodness of their hearts' don't give them grief as they really don't deserve it.
