Hiya fellas
This is my website http://www.lansis.net
First, thank you very much for taking the time to read my post. I am a novice at web designing and I use Microsoft frontpage. :P
That being said, I need some help reviewing the site as I have created it so far. I just want to learn and improve and make the site better for people visiting it.
So please visit it and give me your honest opinions and mebbe give me some advice on what I can do to make it better.
Thanks again, it's great that you guys are volunteering to help novices like me.

BTW, I am particularly interested in your opinion about ease of navigation of the site, and if you find it hard to understand where to go or if the layout of the site just bores you so much you did not bother to click on any of the links.
Ofcourse, you should get into the mindset of someone actually looking for info on AV and security systems...heh heh...otherwise you'd be bored for sure. :biggrin2:

First off for anyone else, heres a clickable link to his site - http://www.lansis.net
Ok the site, I don`t like the funny looking logo icon top left, a header with colours would be nice, the site is all to dark IMHO, drop the font size alittle too, don`t re me wrong, the site works and gets the message over, but IMO is depressive, Summing up: Brighten it up alittle, get a nice logo header there, make graphic menu buttons with rollovers, maybe add some table shades, well done on what you`ve done and good luck. :)

Urg...thanks for that...what a blunder.
I don`t like the funny looking logo icon top left
hey, that is my pride and joy..heh heh. But I really should work on that more with and edit, it does look drabby and sloppy.
The font was at 12pt, so I am going to try dropping it to 10pts. As for the color, I very poor at colors, what would you use for the header and the background if you were designing a site like ours? And the logo, originally it started off as a white offset by a black background. I agree that it looks depressing...like I am in teenage angst mode or something. What colors would you suggest for the logo?
Thank you very much for the pointers. I am very grateful. If we were in the same location, I'd buy you a beer or two. :biggrin2:

Try to use the same font over your Web.
And also draw some tables and add some color to look good :)

Looks fair although it looks more like a webpage to me rather then a website, but you did say you were a novice. Try using PHP Nuke in fantastico in the control panel. Get a decent layout and use their great features. If you like it then most likely you won't have to program anything yourself unless you feel you want to. I think your website is okay but you could definitly use PHP-Nuke to spruce things up (that's what I'm using and you'll see my website here soon), thanks and good luck.
