Nope, They put their banner in the bottom of your browser window (see the code "<script src="http://www.dk3.com/staticlogo.js">" )
However you can remove the banner by clicking "remove ad".
(itīll be back next time you load the page though)

I get ads with Internet Explorer, and NO ads with Netscape. Go figure.

I have the same banner-code as you but you have 4 additional tags immediately following the closing html tag that my pages do not. Adding those lines makes the bannercode disappear.
Note: adding these tags will likely result in termination of your account.

...or maybe it won't... Thier terms of service say nothing about ad-banners, but the FAQ does say this:

"Is this service really free? What do you get out of it?
Yes, the services we offer are free. The advertising on our main web site, and extra features such as the Form Processing covers the expenses of the service. "
Time to update the TOS & FAQ?

Those banners are ugly as hell! you can't view the page completely... they are a Geocities-rip off, but even worse. I can understand that they want to put ads on the memberpages, but why not just banners, even popups are better than these :(

Crosswinds.net and free.prohosting.com also don't have anything in their FAQ's / TOS's about circumventing their advertising. Of course, on Crosswinds.net, you can kill their pop-ups simply by loading your CW site in a stealth redirection frame (ie, --------, wzr.net, etc.), but still, that's technically not cheating, because someone could see the pop-up by opening one of your internal pages in a new window.
