Are there any services that I can display a banner on my site and earn a fixed amount per month ;)

I read on some site that they give you $450 Dollars per month for four banners!!!(But I don't believe it)

i don't think there's an ad agency selling ads with a solid rate per month...

Nothing is solid anymore, there is no fixed CPM rate on most big ad agencies. Things sure have changed since last year. The ad market used to be much better (and friendlier to gaming websites :().

This isn't possible in most cases.

Small ad firms can not afford to pay you 450 dollars a month when your site does not bring in that amount.

The closest I can think of is a flat CPC rate, or a percentage of earnings.

ClickZen and FastClick both pay over 60% of what ever your site earns for them. My company, RateStar, pays a flat CPC rate.

I'm sure that if you worked at it, and had a bit enough site, you could convince a larger company like DoubleClick to give you a flat rate per month, but this, again, is doubtful.

Good luck,
Dan

I'll give you a guarenteed $1 per month if you allow me to control all advertising on your website, which averages 100,000 uniques a day. If it drops below 90,000 uniques per day, once, you will not get paid. It also must abide to all Standard Internet, cj.com and Burst! terms and conditions. ;)

I'll give you $2 for the same. C'mon, Moo, how high are you prepared to go...? ;)

eggman, the only services that offer something along these lines (apart from direct-selling of monthly sponsorships), are the About.com and Suite101 guidesites. This won't offer support for your present site, but they pay their guides (ie bargain-basement journos) a fixed monthly rate for providing content to the firm.

I always thought that about.com paid it's guides 30% of the ad money that their sites earn?

They offer 30% of the ad earnings, but guarantee a certain fixed rate - ranging from $100-$500 generally, with higher rates available to those guides who manage certain B2B-related sections.

I was an About.com guide for almost a year, and never received more than the guaranteed minimum (in my case, $200), so this is certainly a comfortable platform.

Cheap Bastard, you know me better than I thought...;)

At Suite101, I was the "Australian Cinema" editor:

At About.com (then The Mining Company), I was the "Cult/B-Movies" editor - that site has been removed, but I'm likely to reproduce most of the articles on a site I'm running independently soon.
