I suggest you wait a few weeks.. Until everything at Lunarpages.com have been automated and fixed..

Then it will probably be a killer service.. :)

Yeah, I signed-up about an hour ago. The site loads fast and the web-upload was fast too. I hope ftp works soon.

Does anyone have experiences with the upgrade option? See thread http://freewebspace.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=6156

they're supposed to have PHP scripting for all accounts. it's not like you can just ban PHP from some users and not from others without changing the installation settings of PHP4 on the lunarpages server. i'm not moving unless they support the mysql_connect functions. they haven't put up the function list yet.

You'd actually be suprised just what you can do with a few well placed wrappers, ftp commands and apache functions :)

if they allowed the use of the mysql calling functions, but didnt offer mysql databases, that's GOOD enough.

you can always sign up at freesql.org for a database

I don't find freesql a good sql host! It's too slow.
Is there any other?

i dont think so...

freesql is slow because you are in the UK..that's why. here, it's really fast, and that suits my needs for now

niv

besides, there is no restriction on the size of the database on freesql.org

Freesql is slow because it's run on cable.

You can not run CGI right now.. if you look at the sign up you will see this will be offered in early July..

You can use php right now though..

Sorry for the inconvinience.. but we need to rewrite our scripting to make it smooth..

max I am not being mean or anything but I don't think your service will last long without banner ads, but with everything else its cool, I just can't wait to there is cgi, anyways you should do what yupapa does, free accounts and paid accounts

Max

Dont get it wrong, we do have banner ads.. and are financing the accounts in a diffrent way when upgraded..
