When I was looking on Dune3.com I found a banner of the Puregaming Network, seems that they offer some nice hosting.
I've searched freewebspace.net for this host, but couldn't find it. (If it is in the list, then I'm sorry...)

They offer:

Unlimited Space
Unlimited Bandwidth
Unlimited FTP Accounts

Software
- Unix Servers
- ActivePerl 5.6.0 (.pl and .cgi) with your own CGI-Bin
- SSI (Server Side Include .html & .shtml)
- PHP (.php , .phtml. Running the latest PHP release)
- Cold Fusion 4.5 (.cfm)
- ASP (Active Server Pages)
- SQL Server 7.0
- MySQL 3.23.28
- Microsoft Access Database
- Microsoft FoxPro Database
- Visual InterDev 6.0
- FrontPage 2000 (98/97 as well) Support.

As far as I can tell, no (sub)domain hosting.

From http://puregamingnetwork.com/content/hosting/qualifications.html :

First and foremost, the PureGaming Network does not give hosting away. We are very choosey about those we host on our network. We will only choose the very best websites, guild or clan sites, or at the least, websites who meet our own internal criteria for layout, design, coverage, content, and structure.

That's probably why it isn't listed at freewebspace.net. As they say, they don't give hosting away. It's only for established gaming sites. Nothing new, and nothing that doesn't meet their difficult standards.

It's only for gaming sites, I agree with that. So for example you know that your gamehosting- provider will shutdown (like Ingava), you can probably ask if such a host would like to host your website...

btw: On The gaming hosts I find very much hosts with such specs?

I don't know what's so special with this host...
There are tons of game hosts on the net that offer "unlimited" hosting with cgi, php, mysql...
You just have to find them. :)
