Yes that is correct. You will also get many free hosting providers who request forum posting to receive free hosting. Registration takes a few moments and the application process takes a few moments. If one of the admins is online at the time of the application being posted, it would usually take just a few minutes for the applicant to receive the account details in their email. :)

Yes many hosts do require post hosting in exchange for hosting, but they usually say so in their offer. Jerry4DOS was only adding what you should of included in your offer.
