Apparently, Germany and France use it for certain things, and China, Japan and South Korea are working on an Asian version of it!

If you know that it was old, why did you bother posting it?
I feel this is more of a step towards breaking away from the totalitarian regime known as the USA than a step towards more secure/efficient computing on an international scale D:

Any computer system any government uses will suck. Because the government uses it, and when it inevitably fouls up, people tend to forget Murphy's Law and blame it on the OS. So it's not really a step forward for Linux.
PS; I didn't read the article, I'm too lazy.
