Hi, I am using pjiRC applet and have it sign a user under a default username, I was wondering what the script is so that if that username has been taken it will generate the username with a random numbers after it so that it does not disconnect you. I have done alternet but then that is only two usernames then it will disconnect a user if they have the same.

why don't you use a free mIRC? You can get your own channel by going to the free irc stuff under many freesite sites.

oh ok. amm I already have a chat running. My question was on the applet code on how to have alternative nicks so a user does not get disconnected when someone already has the same nickname.

Make it clear to the users to to choose a nick.
