4NX2 hasn't responded to my signup, and that was two days ago. the number of users is still the same at 1675. oh well, that would have been the solution to my problem. i guess i'll wait for NC_TOM to get netcabins-datablocks back up and running. :(

This ain't surprising at all... I am predicting that there will be a massive die-out of free webhosts.

I agree with Giancarlo.. Hosts are already dying like flies, and we'll see about 200 more free hosts disappear over the next year, INCLUDING some that have been up for a long time.

They are not dead at all and WE are actually planing a move soon as soon everything has been settled considering we were down the entire weekend :(

But we won't dissapear and especially not because of money. More PHP features should be implemented soon and we are hoping to offer sub-domains as well instead of the current member URL's.

ya, how long do you think it will be before f2s.com shuts down?

there not making any income from there free hosting sites

at the very least there going to place banners on your pages after you guys have all moved in on them

F2S has cash comming in form other ways, thats what I thought anyway. Form doing paid hosting and ISP services.

Unfortunately, that's how Prohosting.com had (and still does have) cash coming in to support their free services (except for the ISP service).

Well the site works for me I just would no sign up for it myself! They need to get ftp uploading going befor I would do that lol :P

Well, the reason why FTP support isn't being added is because security is our most important concern. Several sites are quite a bit open for security issues and we don't want to be one of them. Also - 4Nx2 is aiming hosting towards PHP users as you can pretty much ask us any questions about your code and we will help you. Whether you use e-mail, our forum or our IRC channel.

We will decide on where we go this week as we can't continue running a server crashing randomly. And I of course know that it's annoying that our users can't access their site.
